Community Access

Capacity Focused Supports delivers structured support with self-assessments and a clear map of your progress. We strive to deliver personalised support that suits your needs and helps you meet your goals in a way that is comfortable for you.

Here's what we can do in five sessions:

  • Create a workable space.

  • Learn the skills, including safety awareness when using tools or equipment.

  • Hand-over-hand support.

  • Skill implementation, with a team member supporting you remotely via a phone or video call.

  • Review and modification where needed.

A typical session will be 2-4 hours long, based on your individual needs. Each session will have a self-assessment portion, where we can review and map your progress.

We deliver a minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 120 hours for each goal we set together, and once one is achieved, we start on the next. We aim for independence, so you can refrain from utilising support workers for the tasks you identify. As you build your skills, we hope you can use your funding for other areas of your life.

All we expect from you is the desire to learn and be independent in your own way.
